School Based Training & Support

We are passionate about equipping schools and educators on the following topics:

Healthy vs Harmful Child Sexual Development

This training is aimed at helping educators understand normal child sexual development, and the behaviour that commonly accompanies each phase of development, as well as offer educators guidelines on how to respond to child sexual behaviour in the classroom. Understanding child sexual development is not only important for fostering healthy sexual identity in children but being able to distinguish between healthy and harmful sexual behaviours forms an important part of child sexual abuse prevention.

Mandatory Reporting and Dealing with Disclosures of Abuse: The School’s Role and Responsibilities

Educators are often the first responders in dealing with a child’s disclosure of abuse. This is a practical course aimed at helping schools know what needs to be reported, to whom, and how reporting should be done, and offers practical guidelines and skills in how to facilitate a child’s disclosure of abuse in a trauma-informed, child-centred way.

Understanding Trauma and Attachment: Creating Trauma and Attachment Informed Classroom Environments

This training presents educators with foundational understanding of trauma and attachment theory, and how these impact on a child’s behaviour in the classroom. Practical knowledge is shared on how trauma and attachment informed principles can be incorporated into the classroom to best support children.

Emotional Regulation in The Classroom: From Neurobiology to Practice

This session is aimed at helping educators understand the neurobiology of emotional regulation and equip them with practical skills in regulating and grounding children in the classroom environment.

Preventing Compassion Fatigue and Burnout for Educators

This training will assist educators with understanding the impact of compassion fatigue and burnout on their professional and personal life. It includes a short theoretical discussion, determining educators current level of burnout, compassion satisfaction and compassion fatigue, and practical hands-on techniques and skills to prevent compassion fatigue and burnout.

Pics, Posts and the Police: Teaching Learners About the Dangers of Sexting
